What I collect
When you buy something, I collect what's needed to complete the sale and get it to you:
- Your name, email address, phone number, and shipping address.
- What you ordered and what you paid.
- Technical details captured with the order — IP address and browser user agent — kept as evidence in case of a payment dispute.
If you make an offer or subscribe to the mailing list, I keep your email address (and phone number, if you give one) for that purpose.
I never see or store your card number. Payment details go directly to Stripe and are never held on this site.
Who else handles it
Running the shop means a few services necessarily see some of your information:
- Stripe — processes payments and handles fraud checks and disputes.
- Shippo and the carrier (USPS, UPS, DHL, etc.) — receive your shipping address to produce a label and track the parcel. International orders also require a customs declaration describing the contents and their value.
- Resend — sends order and offer emails.
- Cloudflare — hosts the site and its database.
I don't sell your information, and I don't share it with anyone for advertising.
Email and marketing
Order confirmations, shipping updates, and offer responses are transactional — you get those because you bought something or made an offer.
Marketing email is separate and only goes to people who signed up for it. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. You can also just reply and ask, or message @voidwardrobe on Instagram.
How long I keep it
Order records are kept as long as needed for tax, accounting, and dispute purposes — a payment dispute can be filed months after a sale, and without the order record I can't defend it.
Mailing list entries are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask me what information I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email orders@voidwardrobe.co and I'll handle it.
Deletion requests are honoured except where I'm required to keep a record — completed order and payment records, for the reasons above.
If you're in the UK or EU, you also have the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
